Large Early Victorian Flame Mahogany Chest with Inlayed Ivory Escutcheons. Circa 1840. Restored and French polished. Ivory keyholes/escutcheons and flame mahogany veneer in very good original condition. Decoratively carved lion's claw corbels to either side. All drawers are complete with the original til locks. All eight mother of pearl inlayed mahogany handles are free from cracks and chips and include the original wooden screws. The drawers are structurally sound and suitable for everyday use. Concealed long top drawer. An exceptional piece from the early 1800s. Dimensions (mm) 1345W x 1275H x 590D.
