Rare Mid Century Decro Solid Blackwood Dining Chairs. Circa 1965. Restored, reglued and finished with three coats of oil based satin, these classic Australian made chairs feature;
- Solid Blackwood frame (including slats).
- Eight chairs, including two carvers.
- Original coffee coloured vinyl upholstery.
- Decorative geometric slat backrests.
- Unique design.
- Solid and sturdy construction.
- Maker’s mark.
All joins have been reglued and reinforced. Structurally as new. Very sturdy, with no wobbles, movement or pre-existing splits or cracks in the frames. The original coffee coloured vinyl upholstery is free from stains, fading and holes. Three cushions require new foam inserts (sagging). Very comfortable design. All seats are removable (each seat fits inside the frame without screws). Made in Coburg North by fine furniture maker, Decro in the 1960s. For an additional $600 we can reupholster all chairs in the colour of your choice from our range of fabrics (includes all new internal wadding, high density foam and webbing). Matching Decro extension dining table also available in store.
