Rare Mid Century Decro Blackwood Nine Piece Extension Dining Setting. Circa 1960. Made in Australia by fine furniture maker, Decro (Original Decro label to underside of chairs). Very sturdy, solid Australian Blackwood construction. Unique, geometric patterned slat back chairs. Ornate Oriental themed cut-outs to underside of table. Six single seaters and two carvers. The table extends in seconds from 1340mm to 1980mm (The original extension mechanism functions like new). All original brass hardware in great condition. The table top and fold away extension leaves are free from dents, scratches and chips. All chairs are solid as a rock and free from splits and cracks. Original coffee coloured vinyl upholstery in lovely original condition, free from holes, tears or stains (a couple of the chairs could do with some new foam - easily replaced from underside of chairs). All seats are removable (each seat fits snuggly inside the frame without screws). Carvings to table and chair legs. A very rare and superbly crafted piece from the 1960s. Table dimensions (mm) 1340L (or 1980 when fully extended) x 910W x 745H.
