M8066 – Restored Mid Century Fred Ward Myer Solid Myrtle Chest of Drawers. Circa 1970. Finished with four coats of oil based satin, this contemporary Australian made piece features.

Solid Australian Myrtle (Hardwood) construction.
Original oversized disc shaped Myrtle handles
Four as new functioning, fully dovetailed, solid Myrtle drawers.
Very solid and sturdy construction.
Maker’s mark/badge to lower drawer.
Striking woodgrain figuring.

Another extremely well made set of drawers in immaculate condition. Designed by Fred Ward exclusively for the Myer Heritage collection. The original drawers are structurally flawless and have no noticeable wear to the original runners. All four sit straight and flush and glide perfectly. The external Myrtle surfaces are in lovely condition with no noticeable dents, chips or stains.
