Rare Mid Century Industrial Eight Drawer Hardwood Desk. Circa 1966. Restored condition with some distress features consistent with age. Made by Brisbane based builders, Brown & Broad Ltd during the 1960s (Makers mark to underside of drawer - last image). Very solid piece, built like a leopard tank. Industrial grade, solid hardwood framing and solid oak dovetail drawers. Marine grade ply to all drawer bases. The drawers and runners are structurally perfect and function like new. Original concave-shaped, solid copper drawer pulls. Two handy slide out solid oak shelves with original brass handles. Rolling castors to base. Contemporary, minimalist design. Hardwearing finish. The original top is free from dents. A very well-constructed, mid-century piece made to last a lifetime. Dimensions (mm) 1500W x 550D x 765H.
