Extensively restored by the MRBEAMS.COM.AU team, this exceptional Victorian cedar chest has been carefully revived for another century of enjoyment. It features a traditional hand-finished French polish, five fully restored hand-dovetailed drawers, and beautifully figured natural timber.

Restoration and condition
The original cedar-plank sides, top and drawer fronts are in excellent condition, with no cracks or significant dents. All five drawers have been re-glued and re-nailed where required, with their bases refitted to restore strength, close gaps and eliminate rattling. They sit straight and flush and operate smoothly on their new runners and are very well constructed (thick carcasses/framing).
The original drawer rails and guides remain in very good condition and have been re-glued and re-screwed where necessary. The result is a beautifully restored Victorian cedar chest with excellent structural integrity, striking timber figuring and substantial practical storage.
