Restoration and condition: All four drawers have been re-nailed, fitted with new hardwood runners and supported with new side supports. Their bases were removed and refitted to eliminate rattles and restore rigidity. The original panels that help prevent items and dust from falling between the drawers remain complete and intact.
Each drawer sits straight and flush and operates smoothly. The original drawer guides and rails are in excellent condition with minimal wear, while the original back-boarding remains in very good order. The result is a beautifully restored piece that retains its period character while offering dependable everyday use.
