A9058-- Restored Seven Drawer Victorian Red Cedar and Mahogany Tallboy. Circa 1900. Comprehensively restored, fitted with new hardwood drawer runners and hand French polished, this stunning set of dresser from the late 1880s boasts.

  • Solid Australian Cedar and Mahogany construction.
  • Traditional shellac polish finish.
  • Seven structurally excellent, seamlessly functioning hand-dovetailed drawers.
  • Nice and clean internal drawer surfaces.
  • Original turned Cedar handles complete with original Cedar screws (one Cedar screw repaired with steel screw and backing plate).
  • All original brass drawer locks and keyholes.
  • New hardwood drawer runners.
  • New internal drawer guides (where required).
  • All new replacement drawer stops.
  • Turned Cedar legs fitted with anti-scratch pads.
  • Large profile.

Another well kept example completely overhauled by the team at MRBEAMS.COM.AU. The seven Cedar drawers are structurally excellent and have been re-nailed, rebuilt/re-aligned and reglued where required (refitted drawer bases). Where required, new timber crossmembers have been installed to the underside of the drawers to provide additional strength to the original Cedar drawer bases. All sit straight and flush and function like new. New runners to all drawers except the top left and centre top hat drawer (Not required - original runners have negligible wear) . The internal drawer rails have been renailed and reglued. The solid Cedar drawer fronts are in pristine condition wth minimal cosmetic imperfections. Original Cedar backboards in excellent order also. Slightly deeper profile than standard.
