A9057-- Restored Distressed Victorian Cedar Chest of Seven Drawers. Circa 1880. Freshly rebuilt and fitted with new drawer runner, rails and guides, this character packed set of drawers features:
Solid Australian Cedar construction.
High gloss hand French polish finish.
Seven structurally excellent as new functioning hand-dovetailed drawers
Original turned Cedar handles.
All original brass drawer locks and escutcheon.
New drawer runners.
New internal drawer rails and guides (where required).
New replacement drawer stops.
Original turned Cedar legs fitted with anti-scratch pads
Lovely distress features and natural patina.
 
Thoroughly overhauled, this charming set of seven drawers is all set for the next 130+ years of service. All drawers have been reglued, renailed and rebuilt where required. The original drawer bases have been removed and refitted (All drawers). New drawer runners install to all drawers except the two small top right drawers (Not required a- negligible wear to original runners). New hardwood drawer rail overlays installed where required (large middle drawers). All internal drawer rails have been reglued (industrial strength wood glue) and renailed. All seven drawers sit straight and flush and function perfectly (smooth and quiet). Original Cedar backboards in great shape also.
