A9052 - Restored Large Cedar Five Drawer Chest. Victorian Era. Circa 1880. Thoroughly restored and complete with all new drawer runners, this gorgeous set features.
 
Solid Red Cedar construction.
Traditional hand French polish and beeswax finish.
Five as new functioning, structurally excellent hand-dovetailed cedar drawers.
Clean internal drawer surfaces.
Original turned Cedar handles.
All original brass drawer locks and keyholes.
New timber drawer runners to all drawers.
New internal drawer guides (where required)
Replacement drawer stops.
Original turned Cedar legs (Anti scratch pads installed).
 
Overall a very solid piece in great original condition. The cedar drawers have been renailed, aligned and reglued where required and are structurally excellent (additional timber crossmembers installed where required to the underside of drawers). All sit straight and flush and function perfectly on their new runners. The external Cedar plank top and sides are in very nice condition with a few minor dents and distressed features. The original Cedar backing boards are in great shape also. Slightly larger size than usual with ample storage capacity.
