A truly outstanding piece from the Victorian era kept in immaculate condition since the mid 1800s. All drawers are  structurally excellent, in perfect working order and have no pre-existing repairs (except the very bottom drawer - two hairline cracks to the drawer base that have been reglued and reinforced from the underside). New hardwood runners were only required for the three large bottom drawers (remaining drawers have no signs of wear). Surprisingly, the internal drawer guides are also in pristine condition. The original cockbeading surrounding the edge of each drawer is in exceptional original condition with no chips or parts missing. The unique plinth base conceals a secret storage space for valuable items. The external Mahogany surfaces have no significant dents or imperfections. Original Mahogany backboards in perfect order.
