A9029 Stunning Restored Victorian Mahogany Five Drawer Chest. Circa 1900. Thoroughly restored, hand French polished and fitted with all new hardwood (oak) drawer runners, this gorgeous and highly functional example boasts.
Solid Mahogany and Mahogany veneer construction.
Traditional high gloss shellac finish.
Five as new functioning, hand-dovetailed Mahogany drawers.
Pristine drawer fronts with original cockbeading.
Floral motif paper lining to all drawers.
Ornate turned Mahogany handles.

Overall, a very well kept piece in lovely condition. The solid Mahogany plank top, sides and drawer fronts are free from cracks (some minor dents to the left and a small darker blemish under the finish located on the back right side of the mahogany top). All five drawers are structurally excellent (re-nailed and re-glued where required), sit straight and open and close nice and smooth and quietly. The original cockbeading (moulding around the edge of drawers) is in very good condition for its age. New backboarding installed and colour matched (stained) to suit original.
