A8056 – Restored Edwardian Cedar Four Drawer Chest. Circa 1910. Thoroughly rebuilt and restored from the ground up, this impressive example boasts.
- Solid Australian Cedar construction.
- Traditional French polish finish.
- Four as new functioning hand-dovetailed drawers
- Cast brass drawer pulls.
- Original brass drawer til locks and escutcheon inserts (no key included).
- All new hardwood drawer runners.
Another stunning piece from the late Edwardian era. This chest has been completely rebuilt to close to its original condition when first crafted in the early 1900s (Internally and externally). All drawers are structurally excellent (reglued and re-nailed where required), sit straight and flush, open and close perfectly (like new) and are spotlessly clean inside. The external cedar surfaces have been stripped back, filled, colour matched and finished with multiple layers of shellac. The original backboards are in flawless condition also.
