A8032 – Restored Victorian Red Cedar Seven Drawer Chest. Circa 1900. Completely stripped back, restored and French polished, this immaculate piece features;
Solid Australian Red Cedar construction.
Traditional high gloss shellac finish. 
Seven as new functioning hand-dovetailed drawers
Turned cedar handles.
Original brass drawer locks and keyholes.
New hardwood drawer runners.  
New drawer bases to large drawers
New internal drawer guides.
New drawer stops.
Spotlessly clean, inside and out.
Original turned legs. 
Another exceptional piece from the late Victorian era. Cosmetically and structurally one of the best examples we have had. All seven drawers have been fitted with new hardwood runners, are structurally excellent, sit straight and flush and open and close flawlessly. New bases installed to the three lower drawers and new internal guides to all drawer cavities. The top central drawer has a rebuilt/renewed frame and base. The external cedar surfaces are in fantastic condition and have been steam treated prior to sanding to lift most small dents and impressions. Original backboards are in perfect order also.
