Restored to the highest standard, this extraordinary one in one thousand example features.
Solid Mahogany construction.
Traditional shellac hand French polish, finished with beeswax.

Original turned Mahogany handles complete with original Mahogany screws (no cracks, chips or damage)
All original brass til locks.
All original drawer shelves intact (To prevent dust from dropping into the drawer below).
Original brass escutcheon inserts.
New timber drawer runners and drawer rail overlays.
All original Mahogany drawer stops (Sanded and re-nailed).
Exceptionally high build quality.
Original, ornate turned Mahogany feet (fitted with new anti-scratch pads).
Gorgeous distressed features and natural patina.

A truly outstanding example, amongst some of the finest to ever come out of our workshop. The build quality is second to none (i.e. large screws used in the main structure/frame instead of nails, more than double the amount of dovetails used to construct the drawers, thick Solid Mahogany panels used for the framing, no signs of movement/weakening in the joins etc.). All five drawers are structurally as new with no pre-existing repairs and function perfectly. New timber runners installed to the three large lower drawers (Not required for the two top drawers - no significant wear to original runners). Thicker than standard solid Mahogany drawer bases (no cracks or damage), refitted and re-nailed. The internal drawer rails and guides are in very good condition with very minimal signs of wear. New hardwood overlays installed to two of the large drawers (required). The original drawer guides are thicker than standard and show no signs of wear. The external Mahogany surfaces are free from cracks and splits. The original backboards are in perfect order (fixed down with their original screws). This is a very heavy chest for its size (even with the drawers removed) and will require at least two people to carry it. If you are looking for an exceptionally well made chest built to last a lifetime, this one's for you!
